MONDAY-
- Ecosystem jar observation #3- Students will complete observation #2 in project booklet and add/delete items in their jar, check abiotic factors and try to adjust biotic factors accordingly. Instructor will discuss nitrate levels, where it comes from and how to test for it, also how to adjust levels in jars.
TUESDAY-
- Fumee Lake habitat study- finish calculations of % match, omission, and commission for actual and MIWLD species lists.
- Students will graph results of calculations using excel computer program.
- Students will finish the writing of their Fumee Lake habitat study lab report.
- Ch 3 review sheet due Tuesday
WEDNESDAY-
- Chapter 1 notes- students will discuss major characteristics of Earth that support living organisms.
- Chapter 1 lab- atmospheric changes in the Earth’s history- students will perform procedures and learn about the history of changes in atmospheric gas concentrations.
THURSDAY-
- Point Sample Cruise exercise- 8 am to 11am
FRIDAY-
- KHS tree project- tree volume and tree crown measurements of all 25 trees on school grounds.
- Calculate tree volumes in the classroom if time remains
